BIXBI Pet has become the first pet food company to earn Clean Label Project Certification for dog kibble, with 13 products across its Rawbble® and BIXBI® lines now third-party verified for contaminants including heavy metals, pesticides and plasticizers.
The certification tests products against health-based benchmarks that often exceed minimum regulatory requirements. The announcement coincides with the launch of BIXBI’s ProteinBlend™ recipes, which combine Rawbble freeze-dried-coated kibble with air-dried jerky bites for skin and coat support and freeze-dried pieces for added protein.
“Third-party certifications like Clean Label Project validate the standards we hold ourselves to every day,” said CEO Rachel D’Agostino. For manufacturers and retailers, the move raises the premium shelf-edge bar: transparent, independently verified purity is shifting from a niche claim to a category expectation in dry dog food.
