1. Introduction

Welcome to GlobalPetIndex. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, directory, data products and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

2. Definitions

• “Platform” means the GlobalPetIndex website and any related applications or APIs.
• “User” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform.
• “Member” means a User with a registered account and an active membership tier.
• “Listing” means a company profile, brand page, product page or other content submitted to the Platform.
• “We,” “us” or “our” means Global Pet Index Inc

3. Accounts and eligibility

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

Your account is personal to you. A paid membership is a personal licence and is subject to the account sharing and device limits in section 8.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

4. User-generated content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, distribute and modify your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Membership and payments

Some features require a paid membership. Fees are described on our Membership & Pricing page and are subject to change. Payments are processed by third-party providers and are non-refundable unless required by law.

We may suspend or terminate membership access for non-payment or violation of these Terms.

Paid memberships are limited to a small number of registered devices per account and may not be shared. See section 8 for the device limit, what we record, and what happens if it is exceeded.

6. Intellectual property

The GlobalPetIndex name, logo, trademarks, content, design and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

Data generated by the Platform may be subject to separate licensing terms for API and enterprise use.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

• Upload false, misleading, fraudulent or infringing content.
• Scrape, crawl, spider or harvest data without authorization.
• Interfere with the security, integrity or availability of the Platform.
• Send spam, malware or malicious communications.
• Share, lend, resell or otherwise make your account or login credentials available to another person, or use a paid membership from more than the number of devices permitted by section 8.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

8. Account sharing and device limits

8.1 Personal licence. A paid membership is a personal, non-transferable licence to the Member named on the account. One membership may be used by that Member only. You may not share, lend, rent, resell, sublicense or otherwise make your account or login credentials available to any other person, whether for a fee or free of charge.

8.2 Device limit. A paid membership may be used on no more than 3 devices registered to your account within any rolling 30-day period. A device is registered the first time it is used to access the Platform with your account, and remains registered for the period above. You may review and remove registered devices from your Billing page at any time; removing a device frees the slot for a replacement.

8.3 Multiple people on one account. Creating additional accounts, or having additional people use your account, in order to share one membership’s benefits is prohibited. Where several people at an organisation need access, we offer sub-accounts priced per additional seat, and Enterprise arrangements — please contact us rather than sharing credentials.

8.4 Detection, notice and suspension. We record the devices registered to a paid account in order to enforce section 8.2. If we detect more devices than the limit allows, we will notify you at the email address on the account and give you 7 days to remove the excess devices. If the excess devices are not removed within that period, we may suspend paid access to the Platform until the account is brought within the limit. Where a membership is suspended under this section, no refund is due for the period of suspension or for the remainder of the then-current term.

8.5 What we record. For the purpose of section 8.2 we store a one-way cryptographic hash derived from your device and network characteristics, together with a short descriptive label (for example “iOS 18 · 2026-10-20 14:05”) so that you can recognise and remove your own devices. We do not store your full IP address, your full device identifier, or the contents of anything you access. Device records are used only to operate and enforce your membership and can be removed by you at any time.

8.6 Acceptance. By accepting these Terms at checkout you confirm that you have read and accept this section 8, including the device limit and the consequences of exceeding it. Acceptance is recorded with the date and time at which you confirmed it.

9. Disclaimer and liability

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any listing or third-party content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for operational reasons. You may also delete your account at any time.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, where Global Pet Index Inc is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or the courts of Wyoming, United States.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
