Dog Xiao Lao Di is an original pet guardian IP co-created by Hangzhou Shihao Ruyu Culture Operation Co., Ltd., JD.J.Dear, and the Dunhuang Fine Arts Research Institute. It is also a specialized Dog Guardian embodying the Dunhuang Guofeng, dedicated to providing emotional comfort to pet owners.
According to the recorded Dunhuang document, "Daiming's Return to Life," Bodhisattva Dizang stands beside a golden retriever, its demeanor commanding and impressive. When Daiming asks what it is, Dizang replies, "This is the incarnation of Manjushri Bodhisattva, always by my side, helping me rescue all sentient beings suffering in hell." This legend is said to be the inspiration for Di Tian, the guardian of all animals, bringing a thousand-year blessing from Dunhuang art and the eternal protection of a mythical beast.
