Amcor FY2026: Berry Global Merger Delivers Record $23.5B Revenue, Pet Food Packaging Demand Surges

Amcor plc (NYSE: AMCR), the world’s largest consumer packaging company following its acquisition of Berry Global, reported FY2026 net sales of $23.506 billion, up 57% year-over-year, with net income doubling to $1.106 billion. The results mark the first full financial year since the transformative merger closed in April 2025.

The company’s flexible packaging division, which serves pet food and protein brands, generated $12.83 billion in full-year sales, up 24% on a constant-currency basis. Amcor specifically highlighted pet food and protein packaging as a significant growth category in both the fourth quarter and full year, with higher volumes recorded across developed markets led by North America and emerging markets led by Asia.

Merger synergies reached $285 million in FY2026, exceeding the original $260 million target by approximately 10%. The company reiterated its three-year goal of $650 million in total synergies. Adjusted EBITDA grew 68% to $3.673 billion, and free cash flow increased 41% to $1.303 billion. The Board raised the quarterly dividend to $0.65 per share.

CEO Peter Konieczny said the company delivered strong operating performance despite a challenging macro environment, with broad-based volume growth and synergy realization ahead of plan. Amcor now operates approximately 400 locations across 40-plus countries with around 75,000 employees. For pet food manufacturers, the consolidated packaging supplier landscape means access to a broader range of capabilities but potentially less negotiating leverage on pricing and terms.
