SuperZoo 2026, North America’s premier pet industry trade show, opens at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on August 12–14 — just 8 days from today. Organized by the World Pet Association (WPA), the event will host more than 1,200 exhibitors and is expected to draw over 21,000 pet industry professionals from more than 79 countries.
The 2026 edition introduces a landmark addition: the show’s first accredited veterinary continuing education (CE) track in partnership with US Vet Shows. This expansion signals SuperZoo’s evolution from a pure retail buying event to a cross-functional industry platform that now includes clinical professionals alongside buyers, distributors, and brand owners. The move reflects the increasingly blurred lines between pet retail and veterinary services, a trend accelerated by Tractor Supply’s VIP Petcare acquisition and Chewy’s telemedicine expansion.
The show floor will feature six specialized zones — Health & Wellness, Fashion, Natural Products, Grooming, Small Animals, and Emerging Brands — with the Emerging Brands section growing 50% year-over-year in 2025. The New Product Showcase awards will be judged by winners of the PETS+ America’s Coolest contest, and the world’s largest grooming competition runs alongside the trade show.
SuperZoo opens against a backdrop of cautious consumer spending and retailer destocking documented in recent Tractor Supply, Chewy, and Petco earnings. The show floor will serve as the first large-scale, in-person read on U.S. independent pet retail sentiment heading into the critical Q4 holiday buying season. For manufacturers, distributors, and investors, the orders written and partnerships formed at SuperZoo will set the tone for H2 2026 and Q1 2027 pipeline planning.
