The Farmer’s Dog Acquires Woof, Extending Reach Beyond Fresh Food into Enrichment

The Farmer’s Dog, the U.S. leader in fresh, human-grade dog food, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Woof, the fast-growing enrichment and functional wellness brand known for its refillable Pupsicle system. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2019, Woof created a new category of refillable wellness systems for dogs and ranked #3 overall on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private U.S. companies. The acquisition marks The Farmer’s Dog’s first deal and moves the company beyond nutrition into daily enrichment, play and broader canine wellness.

The companies said Woof will operate as an independent division while the two brands explore cross-sell opportunities. The transaction is expected to close in 2026, subject to customary conditions, with BofA Securities and J.P. Morgan providing committed financing.
