1. Introduction

Welcome to GlobalPetIndex. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, directory, data products and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.

2. Definitions

• “Platform” means the GlobalPetIndex website and any related applications or APIs.
• “User” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform.
• “Member” means a User with a registered account and an active membership tier.
• “Listing” means a company profile, brand page, product page or other content submitted to the Platform.
• “We,” “us” or “our” means Global Pet Index Inc.

3. Accounts and eligibility

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

4. User-generated content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, distribute and modify your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Membership and payments

Some features require a paid membership. Fees are described on our Membership & Pricing page and are subject to change. Payments are processed by third-party providers and are non-refundable unless required by law.

We may suspend or terminate membership access for non-payment or violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Global Pet Index Inc. name, logo, trademarks, content, design and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

Data generated by the Platform may be subject to separate licensing terms for API and enterprise use.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not use the Platform to:

• Upload false, misleading, fraudulent or infringing content.
• Scrape, crawl, spider or harvest data without authorization.
• Interfere with the security, integrity or availability of the Platform.
• Send spam, malware or malicious communications.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any listing or third-party content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for operational reasons. You may also delete your account at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Global Pet Index Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
