Established in 1968, the organisation has continued to grow, and in April 2016 it acquired competitor retailer PamPurredPets adding an additional 51 stores to its existing portfolio, making it the second largest pet retailer in the UK by store numbers and EBITDA.

Pets Corner is a family-run British pet retailer headquartered in Crawley, West Sussex, founded in 1968 by Mark and Sandra Richmond and led since 1998 by their son Dean Richmond. It operates more than 160 stores across England together with Dogwood grooming salons and Pet Practice veterinary surgeries, making it the second largest pet retailer in the UK by store numbers behind Pets at Home. It specialises in natural pet foods and invests heavily in staff training through its own academies.
