About Qihe Jiayi
Qihe Jiayi Toys Co., Ltd. is the anchor pet toy manufacturer of the Dahuang Township pet industry cluster in Qihe County, Dezhou City, Shandong Province. Founder and general manager Wang Xiumei began making pet toys with her husband in the Qihe county seat in 2008 and relocated the business to Dahuang Township in 2015, when annual output value was about RMB 5 million. The operation has since grown from a handicraft workshop into a regularised plant with more than a thousand product codes, an in-house research and development team, three directly owned factories and fifteen partner factories in Linyi, Shanghe, Yucheng and Jiyang. A six-storey combined office and production building was started in September 2024 and occupied by December 2025, adding lines for cat beds and dog beds alongside the core plush pet toy range, with samples approved and customers already secured for the new products. Annual sales rose from roughly RMB 30 million with RMB 1.03 million of tax to more than RMB 40 million, of which about 80 per cent is exported to the United States, the United Kingdom and other European and North American markets, and the company supplies branded customers including MINISO, Tianyuan and SUMEC on a long-term basis. Around 140 workers, almost all women from surrounding villages, staff the main plant, while thirteen to fifteen village-based processing points let more than a thousand women who cannot leave home take piecework. The company was named a provincial-level women's workshop in 2016, operates a subsidised after-school classroom for employees' children, and reserves posts for people with disabilities and formerly low-income households.
