Burgess Pet Care acquires Bunny Nature — five-fold international revenue lift

Burgess Pet Care has acquired German small-animal nutrition brand Bunny Nature via an asset purchase — its largest international deal to date, following the acquisitions of Green Pantry and a stake in Tuggs. International revenue jumps from £2.5M to £12.5M, lifting the international share of group revenue from 10% to 35%. Bunny Nature, founded in 1988, adds distribution across the EU, North America and Asia, and keeps its leadership team in place.

Context of the burgess pet care bunny nature

Small animal is among the fastest-growing pet categories globally, and Burgess frames the deal as creating ‘the world’s leading small animal group’. With Bunny Nature’s German engineering and Burgess’ UK credibility, the combined business is targeting China’s rapidly expanding small-pet market and a major Pet Fair Asia 2026 push in Shanghai.
