Mighty Paw, a US-based premium dog-treat brand, has expanded into mass retail with a nationwide launch at Walmart stores and Walmart.com. The rollout, announced August 4, 2026, features the company’s Yak Cheese Chews and Yak Cheese Puffs — limited-ingredient, functional treats designed to support healthy chewing and everyday enrichment.
The products are made with just three ingredients — milk, lime juice and salt — and are positioned as long-lasting, high-quality alternatives to rawhide and highly processed chews. Yak Cheese Chews start at $11.99, while the lighter Yak Cheese Puffs are priced from $13.99. Mighty Paw says its products are now used by more than 2 million dogs.
The Walmart launch reflects two converging trends in pet retail. First, mass-market retailers are aggressively expanding their premium, clean-label pet assortment. Second, functional and enrichment-positioned treats are commanding higher price points and margins beyond the traditional specialty-pet channel.
For brands and private-label manufacturers, Mighty Paw’s move is a signal that limited-ingredient, wellness-focused treats can scale into big-box retail if they deliver transparent sourcing and a clear functional benefit. Distributors and importers should expect similar premium treat lines to seek broader retail footprints through the remainder of 2026.
