The company began as a butcher business, started producing dog and cat food in 1988 and was renamed in 2001. It develops, produces and markets dry and wet food, snacks, pouches, trays and tins for dogs and cats, largely as private label for retailers and brand owners. It employs around 1,800 people, exports about 75 percent of output to 20 countries, and owns Deuerer Petcare France, KFF pet care and Pets Choice.
