Pet Fair Asia 2026 (Aug 19–23, Shanghai SNIEC) Day 2 delivered the largest single-day B2B product wave of 2026, with ADM, Mars Petcare, Royal Canin, FORZA10, Honeywell, PETKIT, 星宸智宠 (PolarAi) and CATLINK all unveiling major new products, ingredient platforms, or industry standards.
ADM debuted its first-ever dog-and-cat gut and immunity functional ingredient system for the pet food industry, integrating the patented善倍素 Fibersol soluble dietary fiber with PRIOME GH long Bifidobacterium CECT 7347 postbiotic plus other ingredients. The platform supports formulation of gut-barrier-reinforcement and stool-odor-reduction products. ADM simultaneously launched a low-fat easy-digestion adult dog complete prescription food under TOTAL EQUILÍBRIO VETERINARY (英派特), and published its first Pet Longevity Trend Report — based on a five-country (China, France, Mexico, UK, US) consumer survey — showing 71% of owners actively seek products supporting long-term pet health and 65% are interested in probiotic, prebiotic and postbiotic ingredients. Ranhe Health (润合健康) was announced as national distribution partner for ADM’s prescription food portfolio.
Mars Petcare relaunched century-old NUTRO (美士, founded 1926) with a new brand proposition, Scientific Research for Lifelong Health, and debuted the全护PLUS cat dry food designed around gut self-protection via the SUPRABIOTICS prebiotic dietary-fiber combination. Concurrently, Mars inaugurated the Pet Intestinal Immune Nutrition Research Center with China Agricultural University and published the《肠道自护绿皮书》Gut Self-Protection Green Paper documenting a 42-day feeding trial. Mars sister brand Sheba (希宝) launched two new staple-food products: a 97% meat content complete adult cat wet food meal box and an innovative dual-flavor complete adult cat staple food tube.
On smart hardware, Honeywell launched its 2026 cat air purifier with auto-circulating fur removal, app control and washable separated-body design. PETKIT exhibited smart feeders and AI cat toilets. 星宸智宠 demonstrated its PolarAi smart chest harness measuring canine heart rate, body temperature and HRV, combined with AI for heatstroke probability and emotional state detection. CATLINK unveiled its multi-cat AI face-recognition feeder with per-cat dietary records.
The 2026 China Pet Industry White Paper (released at the show) confirms the 2025 urban dog-and-cat market reached RMB 312.6 billion (+4.1% YoY) with forecast RMB 405 billion by 2028. Smart devices are now the top growth category on Douyin e-commerce, with smart pet air purifiers, smart deshedding tools and smart tipping-water dispensers the top three by transaction value.
For B2B partners, the show confirms that smart hardware, gut-health functionalization, and prescription-grade clinical nutrition are the three winning categories of 2026 to 2027. Western majors (Mars, ADM, Royal Canin) are simultaneously drafting the industry standards, locking in distribution platforms (JD Health, Ranhe) and raising manufacturing benchmarks — the trifecta that will increasingly determine shelf access and pricing power through 2028.
